I became fascinated with the Dutch lifestyle on a trip to Holland last summer. In North America cycling is primarily considered a form of exercise (a sport), but it can be a lifestyle. Exercise is a benefit of biking, but not my primary purpose for riding. I have been working at making it a lifestyle. I am a city rider, who uses my bicycle as transport, to and from work, the grocery store, etc. My bicycle is my vehicle. In the dead of winter I revert to public transportation since my locale is not ideal for winter riding, but my goal is to bike every day and every where I can. While in Holland last summer I had the ultimate pleasure of touring on an Azor Omafiets and it altered my perspective. As soon as I returned home I made it my mission to find myself an Azor. Luckily there is a wonderful company here in Canada (Urkai based in Burlington, ON) that works with you to custom order Azor and other European bicycles. Through them my dream came true and I am now a proud owner of an Azor Omafiets. Me and My Azor will be a platform for me to share my experiences, talk about bicycle fashion and explore new and exciting things I find online. Where the love began… |
