Me and My Azor has a new Winter Cycling board on Pinterest, check it out!
For two weeks I tried to live with the saddle that came on my Trek, but alas I could not resist getting a Brooks.
I have decided to embrace the crazy and winter cycle this year. Over the last couple weeks I have been slowly acquiring the proper gear to do so. In order to avoid excessive wear and damage to my Azor I have decided to keep her inside this coming winter season. If I lived in a mild climate I would ride my Azor all year long, but she is too precious to me to put her through a harsh prairie winter. Yesterday I acquired my winter ride and I am extremely happy with it. My Trek is an uber-light, smooth riding, glossy blue, 21-speed hybrid. I added studded tires, a rear rack (so I can take a pannier or two with me), a rear fender, adjustable handlebars (so that I could have a more upright feel) and a lock. I still need to get some lights and maybe a bell and kickstand. My Trek is going to take some getting used to, but I am extremely excited to start (but not too soon) the adventure of winter riding. Who knows how many weeks I have left with my Azor, but I will cherish them.
